Microblading Eyebrows Led To A New Career!
A 60-year-old lady found the confidence to change career after having her eyebrows microbladed. The Guardian reports that Linda Parker had spent most of her life caring for other people, and when her daughter turned 18, she decided to do something for herself.
Stress had made her eyebrows become sparser over the years, until they were barely visible, and this was affecting her self-esteem. Well defined eyebrows add structure to our face, and frame the features, so it is no surprise that Linda felt strange without them.
Linda told the publication: “Having eyebrows back gave me the confidence to apply for another job. I definitely wouldn’t have done any of this otherwise. At every landmark age, there’s a natural inclination to think: “That bit’s passed me, now what’s going to happen?”
Microblading involves tattooing tiny feathery strokes into the brow area, to resemble realistic hair. Fine point needles and pigment are used to create a very realistic effect, and the colour and density can be altered depending on what result you want to achieve. It’s a semipermanent treatment, and the results last for about 12 to 18 months.
The treatment can be used to make sparse eyebrows look thicker and fuller, or just to tidy up the brow area so you don’t have the trouble of doing them as part of your makeup routine every morning.
Linda said that her new eyebrows made her life seem full of hope and possibilities, which she never thought she would have: ‘I’m never going to get rid of the wrinkles, but I’ve got a more defined and expressive face. I look what I would call normal again.’
She now works at an arts centre in Guildford, where she often meets and greets famous people at the stage door, a job she couldn’t have done without her new found self confidence in her appearance. What a lovely inspiring story!
