It’s always interesting to see what’s going on with all the latest trends in health and beauty, in case there’s something there that really catches your eye - and what could be more eye-catching than bright pink hair?
Apparently, pink has become the pandemic hair colour of choice, with many a famous face sporting various shades over the last few months - so you can bet you’re going to see a lot more people out and about with pink hair in the near future, as well.
The likes of Jennifer Lopez, Chrissy Teigen, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Madonna and Whitney Cummings have all transformed their tresses and gone pink, with tones ranging from rose and fuchsia to bubblegum.
As explained by editor of the Hair Historian on Instagram Rachael Gibson, pink is a “low-commitment colour that fades or washes out when you get bored of it”... so it might be the perfect choice if you’re keen for a new look but aren’t sure what colour to try, or if you know you like changing your hair colour regularly.
And let’s not forget what a bright, joyful colour pink is - and what with it being January and the middle of a pandemic, a little bit of lighthearted cheer will always be appreciated.
As for the future hair colour trends, you can expect 70s golden blondes to be big news, as well as tonal brunettes, reds and peekaboo hair, where a darker shade is applied to the back of the hair and then hidden beneath the top layer, in a contrasting colour.
