2020 has made all of us attempt DIY hair and beauty hacks that we might not have otherwise, and that shows in our Google search results.
Harper’s Bazaar
recently shared a list of the top beauty search queries in Google for 2020, as compiled by WWD. At the top of the list was ‘How to cut men’s hair at home’, with ‘How to cut women’s hair’ at number six on the list.
At number two was ‘How to plop hair’ (for those unfamiliar with this term, it’s a way of styling curly hair), which was followed by ‘How to colour your hair at home’.
We also had a lot of questions about our skin care regimes, including ‘how to build a skin care routine’, which was at number three on the list of questions in this area of beauty.
It also seems that we all became more interested in what was in our skin care and other beauty products, with questions about a host of ingredients and what they’re used for, including vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, retinol and lactic acid.
With varying levels of restrictions around the UK set to continue for at least the next few months, you might decide that it’s a worthwhile investment to have some make up lessons in Essex
to make sure that this side of your beauty routine is on point.
This might also give you the confidence to try some of the more unusual makeup trends cropping up, such as the watercolour makeup trend identified by Vogue. This involves using vibrant colours, including pinks, greens and lilacs, and applying them with “sheer watercolour washes” to soften the tones.
