3 Quick And Easy Work Hairstyles When You Are In A Rush
If you need to look presentable for a day at the office but you’re running short on time, the last thing you want to do is attempt a complicated hairstyle. Maybe you’ve just finished your morning gym workout or cycled to work, and your hair needs some attention before you set foot in the office, but you don’t have a whole array of tools and products to help.
Not many of us are blessed with the sort of hair that looks fabulous after a quick brush, and some people with longer hair need to have it in a neat and tidy style for health and safety reasons at work. Here are a few ideas for simple yet sleek
work hairstyles.
The scarf ponytail
If you haven’t got time to wash medium or longer lengths of hair and it’s in a frizzy and rebellious mood, then simply fix it back in a ponytail and tie a patterned or colourful scarf around it.
Take a regular square scarf and fold it from corner to corner to form a triangular shape, and then pull the corner to the centre. Roll the scarf from bottom to top, and then tie it with a single knot around your ponytail. This adds interest to your look and also disguises less than perfect condition hair.
The low bun
A low bun is the ultimate sleek and simple hairstyle for work. Simply pull your hair back into a ponytail and secure at the base of your neck. Divide the ponytail into two sections, and then wrap it around the ponytail band and tuck it into the base. Slide in some bobby pins to help keep it secure.
Finish the look off with a spritz of hairspray to tame any frizz and stop it from slipping out of place. If you have some extra time, pull out a few strands to frame your face and soften up the look a little. You could add a decoration such as a flower or a colourful hair band for a more finished look.
The half-up
Half-up, half down ponytails are practical and still feel feminine. At the basic level, all you need to do is simply comb back the upper half of your hair from your forehead and fix it with a decorative clip or a band, leaving the lower section loose. It works well when your hair is reasonably clean but you haven’t got time for a longer styling session.
It’s also a great style for curly hair that tends to be a little bushy and difficult to manage. However, it’s a super versatile style that suits just about anybody with shoulder length hair or longer. You can pull out pieces to frame your face, or backcomb the top section to add some extra height.
For days when you have a bit more time, try adding a small braided section on either side of your head.
